From shovel to joystick
Working in agriculture and horticulture is no longer only about your boots in the mud. Manual labour has moved on to specialized technical knowledge and skills to control impressive machinery. The equipment does most of the work and the farmer has to simply operate the controls. These gigantic machines can often be controlled with a little finger and a joystick.
There are even machines that no longer have a driver at all. These are controlled remotely via the computer. These machines work much more precisely than humans could. For example, you need less crop protection agents. The robot only sprays where it is needed. It is clear that moving from a shovel to a joystick works more efficiently and sustainably!
